Sensible Communities Redistricting in Maryland

Maryland is currently engaged in the one-every-decade process of designing the new 2022 district maps for the Congress, the General Assembly, and the Prince George's County Council. Historically, Maryland has been one of the most gerrymandered states in the Union; but this cycle, the people are speaking out. The increased availability of free redistricting websites has allowed the public more of an opportunity to have a voice in the process. Here, I have created or recommended three sample plans--one for the County Council, one for the Maryland Senate, and one for Congress--that focus on creating compact, contiguous districts with substantially equal population that keep vital communities of interest together.
